I should be. I'm a part of the committee for the Food Bank fundraiser the night before on the 30th. So I'll be up late cleaning the convention center.... In theory I'll be at church but my usual 15 minutes late ... Lol!
ReplyDeleteI think we should all work on making our usual be on time though.... I love everyone in the ministry and know we all have lives but when we can't start on time it isn't as effective OR conversely when we start on time and people are chronically late they miss important pieces of the dialogue between pastor and the team. It also for me personally feels very disrespectful to me and my time and the time invested by the others that have worked so hard to get there that there are some that are just chronically late for something new every time we get together. I'm not trying to be ugly but Pastor stated that we should speak up so I guess this is my way of saying that I have noticed that some continue to walk to the beat of their own drum and it's like it's no big deal. Am I the only one who is bothered by this? Especially when these are people that are soloist and have integral parts over and over? So it appears to be a contradiction to commitment and conviction ....... I don't know. Help me out. I'm just a baby christian looking a my older christian role models and not understanding the dichotomy of it all.
